About the
Project
For this project, Leah was tasked with evolving the existing Barbers of London logo into a new monogram for Barbers of Mayfair. The result is the “BM with Crown” mark, an identity that honours the heritage of the original while introducing a modern, refined presence. To extend the visual system, she designed a custom wallpaper pattern featuring a subtle dotted motif. These dots represent the “footprints of time,” a symbolic path from 1686, when Mayfair’s annual fair first began, to 1805 with the opening of London’s first royal barbershop, and continuing to today, where that same spirit carries forward in Toronto’s financial district. Each dot acts as a quiet marker of legacy.
The project included the new monogram paired with the existing wordmark, font matching for “of Mayfair,” and a custom wallpaper pattern using the monogram and dotted motif. Interior design by Bukhari Design Build.
